About me

Hello everyone,

I'm Max Wagenaar, 19-year-old student in the Netherlands and welcome to my website. Currently, I'm studying International Business Administration at the University of Twente.

Background

I live in a small city near the city of Enschede, where the University is located. I was born and raised here. Both my elementary school and high school were located in this small city. The city is called Oldenzaal and it is a very nice, small and cozy city to live in. Elementary school and high school came pretty easy to me, so I always tried to find some challenge in additional modules and learn something extra. During my time in high school, I discovered that my interest lay in business economics. So, that is why I study International Business Administration. The thing that appeals to me the most is the idea of having your own succesful business in which you put all your time, effort and money, because it is your passion. Now as an 19-year-old, I feel this is the right time to start.

Why writing?

Writing is something I did from a very young age. In elementary school I wrote small stories about all kind of things. I wrote when I was sad, or when I was angry, but also when I was enthusiastic about something. This was all before I really learned how to write properly. Then for a long time I did not write these types of stories anymore, probably because in school everyone was taught how to write reports and other excercises. Writing reports is not something I really like and the idea of 'writing is not something I like' stuck with me for the whole time in high school. Last year the idea of making your own stories came back to me and I found out that that is something I still like to do. It is a way of unleashing my creativity. Creativity for me is something that I think of and can be real. For example, detectives. Detectives did not really happen, but it reflects real scenarios in a relatively good way. I do not like stories about superheroes or dragons or superpowers. I like the stories about something that really happened, or something that is possible in the real world. So, that is something that you will find in my work. Real stories, informative stories with my own look at it and personal stories.

Future goals

I hope that I can help people in certain ways with this website. First of all to just provide information for people. I will write about so many different things. One of my first blogs will be about migraines for example. This is something I struggle with myself and I will share my experiences with it and give some information about what it is and what it feels like. This way I hope to help people with the same problem or people that don't know about it and want to learn and understand about it. This is also my second goal. To really give some good insights on certain topics. We can have the same insights or completely opposites. But it will probably give you some new ideas in both cases.

I have literally zero experience in this, so in addition to helping people with my stories, I also want to take the readers with me in my journey of writing. I hope and think that this is also something I really improve on.
